Josh Neely is the Chief Operations Officer of Mosquito Marshals, and the Owner/CEO of Mosquito Marshals of Southwest Florida. Josh is originally from Harrisville, Mississippi. He currently resides in Fort Myers, Florida where he lives with his wife Anna, and their silver lab Stella. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where he studied Biology, Psychology, Human Performance, while Captaining the Southern Miss Rugby Team.
After graduation, Josh worked as a manager for GNC in both Laurel and Meridian. He then decided to pursue his passion to serve others, and in 2014 joined the Flowood Fire Dept., and attended the Mississippi State Fire Academy where he graduated second in his class. While serving in Flowood, Josh earned certifications in High Angle Rope Rescue, National Incident Management System, Hazmat Operations, Overland Search and Rescue, Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator, and Firefighter Intervention Rescue & Survival Techniques. Josh also worked in Jackson, MS as an EMT for AMR, an ambulance service. He then left AMR and began working as a technician for Mosquito Marshals. He would go on to open Mosquito Marshals’ first licensee location in Hattiesburg, MS with Robby Ashley, and the second licensee location on the MS Gulf Coast. Josh is certified in Master Vector-Borne Disease Management by the CDC and is working towards his certification in Entomology.
Josh believes that his unique background in Emergency Medical Services, Vector-Borne Disease Management, and service to his community has been instrumental in his role as COO. He believes it has given him the drive and passion for service necessary to ensure that Mosquito Marshals is always an industry leader in innovation, service to the community, and effectiveness.
